Membership

The ASC Quality Collaboration is the only organization exclusively dedicated to advancing patient safety and quality of care delivery in Ambulatory Surgical Centers. Through membership, you can make your voice heard on quality decisions, stay current in ASC quality and safety initiatives, and support our important mission in demonstrating the ASC value proposition.

At this time membership in the ASC QC is limited to Management Companies, National Organizations, State ASC Associations, Accreditation Organizations, and IT/Software vendors supporting the ASC industry.

Can I join at any time or only at the first of the calendar year?

Yes, we welcome new members at any time throughout the year.

How long is the membership period?

Membership renews annually.

Membership Options

Unfortunately, at this time membership is not offered to individual ASCs. If you center is currently affiliated with a management company, you may already be included in membership. Please reach out to us if you need to clarify that status.

ASC State Associations

The ASC Quality Collaboration adds value to State specific advocacy efforts in demonstrating the ASC value proposition. This option is available to State ASC Associations.

Benefits:

  1. Valuable networking to learn about best practices on patient safety and quality initiatives which can be shared with constituent State ASCs.
  2. Keep abreast of emerging national initiatives related to patient safety and quality to share with constituent ASCs.
  3. Offer your state ASC membership the ability to participate in and demonstrate state specific benchmarking with quality measures.

Management Companies

The ASC Quality Collaboration provides management companies a rich data platform for which membership ASCs can use for benchmarking and fostering improvement. This option is available to ASC specific management companies.

Benefits:

  1. Opportunity to be an early adopter of emerging ASC quality measures.
  2. Participate in Technical Expert Committee to discuss regulatory updates, benchmarking results, strategic direction, and share ideas and best practices.
  3. Ability to attend an Annual Quality Leadership Conference which provides collaboration on best practices and a unique opportunity to directly connect with regulatory agencies on ASC quality measures and reporting.

IT/Software Vendors

The ASC Quality Collaboration provides IT/Software vendors the ability to collaborate with membership ASCs and regulatory entities. This option is available to vendors that offer solutions to ASCs.

Benefits:

  1. Opportunity to learn of emerging ASC quality measures to focus software enhancements to meet the needs and expectations of ASCs.
  2. Network with membership ASCs to better understand their needs and concerns in facilitating ASC quality measures collection and reporting.
  3. Have a voice with regulatory entities such as CMS and CDC on patient safety and quality measures being considered or in place.

National Organizations

The ASC Quality Collaboration provides National Organizations valuable insights into patient safety and quality initiatives. This membership option is available for those organizations committed to the ASC industry such as ASCA, AORN, and ECRI.
Benefits:

  1. Have a voice with regulatory entities on ASC quality measures and reporting to provide organization clarity and focus on supporting these initiatives.
  2. Network with ASC QC membership to better understand their needs and concerns to focus organization efforts on promoting the ASC value proposition.
  3. Support and enhance the valuable resources offered by ASC QC on best practices for patient safety and quality initiatives.
